In 2016, I started Kangaroomis in my apartment's tiny dining room. Armed with a handful of yards of fleece, a sewing machine and a dream, I began drafting up a dress pattern for a Mimikyu cosplay. At the time, I didn't know that one costume would change the trajectory of my life!

After taking commissions via word-of-mouth for a few months, I made the scary decision to quit my job and delve into costume making full-time. Over a thousand kigus later, my studio and skills have definitely grown, but my business model has stayed the same - to create something special for every customer, no matter their body type, size or shape.

I firmly believe that everyone should feel comfy and happy in cosplay, and I try my best to reflect that sentiment in my brand.
